Mahindra and Mahindra, the Indian UV manufacturer, confirmed the launch of three new SUVs before the festival season. Two more will be launched post festival season by the end of 2018 is also confirmed by them. These three SUVs will compete with Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Tat Nexon, Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The three upcoming offerings by Mahindra which they are launching this year are:
Mahindra Marazzo MPV
Mahindra Marazzo MPV has a shark-inspired design with the streamlined and aerodynamic shape. The exterior of the upcoming car has been developed at Mahindra’s North American Technical Centre in the US. The design further flows into the tail lamps which are inspired by the tail of a shark. The dual tone interior is expected to be equipped with a touch screen infotainment system, piano black paneling, new steering wheel and automatic climate control. The expected price of the new Mahindra Marazzo will be about 12 lakh.
Mahindra S201 sub-4m SUV
Mahindra S201 is being developed at Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai and will be available in both petrol and diesel engines. It will make use of new generation 1.5 litre and 1.6-litre petrol motors which are mutually developed by Ssang Yong as well as Mahindra. The Mahindra S201 is based on Ssangyong Tivoli and carried forward design cues from that car. The expected price of this newly launched will be about 6.5 lakh rupees to 10 lakh rupees.
Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton G4 SUV
The third launch by Mahindra is a much better styled, more mature and also more dynamically competent SUV compared to its predecessor. Mahindra and Mahindra apparently confirmed that the new SUV would be rebranded version of G4 Rexton sold in international markets; however, this new SUV has not been named yet. The launch date has also not been declared yet. The new launch will come with equipped HID lights, dual zone climate control, electric sunroof and much more features. The price will be around 30 lakhs.
